Dear parishioners,
I would like to reach out to you with an offer that can be an opportunity not only for a good deed but also for building relationships, relaxation, and spending time together.
The parish owns a plot of land with an area of 5,801 m² (parcel no. 638 in the cadastral area of Grunta), which has been used under a lease agreement for agricultural purposes. However, this agreement expired at the end of 2024, and the land has been unused since then. It is a beautiful space directly adjacent to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church and the cemetery in Grunta.
In the cadastral records, it is classified as an orchard. It therefore holds not only practical but also spiritual and symbolic significance.
We do not wish to sell this land. On the contrary – we would like to offer it for community use. We are looking for those of you who would be willing and energized to participate in this space – whether by caring for the greenery, planting new trees, creating a place for relaxation and gatherings, or organizing community events, pilgrimages, and other activities. This land could thus become a living space that connects care for the surrounding landscape with the spiritual life of our parish. A place where a journey from Kutná Hora would lead, where we could meet, create, and grow, not only in terms of harvest but also in human and spiritual dimensions.
Do you have an idea, a desire to get involved, or would you simply like to learn more? We would be glad if you reach out to us either by email at arcidekanstvi@khfarnost.cz or in person directly to Father Vladislav. There is also a simple form available to help us better map the possibilities for the use of the land. You can access it HERE. Every thought, every pair of hands, and a kind word are welcome.
Father Vladislav
